Here we go for another year of innovation!
From November 6 to 8, Leonard is launching its new class of the IA 2025 program, welcoming fifteen projects aimed at optimizing the processes of VINCI’s business lines thanks to artificial intelligence. The program is designed to encourage the emergence and support of high-potential projects, capable of anticipating future market developments while bringing real added value to all the Group’s businesses.
Since its launch in 2019, Leonard has supported over 60 AI projects to solve real-world problems in key sectors such as construction, real estate, energy and transportation. These projects focus on optimizing infrastructure management, improving operational processes, or predicting and analyzing complex data.
A wide range of solutions to meet the Group’s operational challenges
The projects selected for this new promotion cover a wide range of applications, such as soil reinforcement analysis, analysis of plans for optimizing the energy efficiency of buildings, understanding competitive strategies, and assistance with the design of layout plans and maintenance support.
The aim of these initiatives is to respond to challenges as varied as improving energy efficiency, sustainable resource management and optimizing existing or future infrastructures.
Some of these solutions are based on optimization, to configure installations optimally over a wide area, or to set up intervention schedules. Others use large language models (LLMs), to detect inconsistencies in complex files, extract key information or analyze contracts regardless of language or profession. Finally, some solutions use computer vision to recognize and track components in electrical cabinets.
A structured program to accompany VINCI projects towards profitability and industrialization
The specificity of the IA 2025 program lies in its decentralized and structured approach, as well as in its personalized support. This approach helps VINCI company teams to capitalize on the full potential of artificial intelligence technologies.
Leonard provides each project team with ongoing technical and methodological support, expert advice, assistance with business strategy and opportunities to network with research organizations. Intense training in data science is provided to reinforce the skills of VINCI teams.
Structured in three phases, the program will begin with an exploration phase from November to December 2024. Promising projects will then move into an acceleration phase from January to May 2025. Finally, starting in June 2025, the projects will be taken over by VINCI companies, while Leonard’s experts will gradually step back.
The aim is to ensure a lasting and measurable impact within the Group.
Thanks to this new promotion, Leonard continues to play a central role in supporting innovation within VINCI, supporting high-potential AI projects and providing solutions tailored to the sector’s complex challenges. This dynamic transformation, driven by artificial intelligence, will enable the group to remain at the forefront of innovation and anticipate the challenges of today and tomorrow.
We wish the new promotion a happy half-year!
