VINCI 2024 Environment Awards: a competition to accelerate the Group’s ecological transition
This year, the VINCI group organized the second edition of the Environment Prize, an initiative launched in 2021 to encourage the emergence of projects with a strong positive impact on the environment within the Group. The competition is open to all 280,000 employees worldwide.
This year, the focus was on the potential for scaling up projects.
With over 1,000 solutions submitted – emerging, tried and tested, and already deployed – this year’s event attracted a wide variety of proposals.
These projects were presented in response to one of the five major environmental challenges identified by VINCI:
- Attenuation,
- Adapting to climate change,
- New materials,
- Reuse and recycling,
- Water and renaturation.
The solutions were evaluated on a number of criteria, including their impact, business potential and large-scale replicability.
After going through several rigorous stages, regional evolutions and in-depth appraisals, 12 projects were selected and rewarded at an awards ceremony held on December 10.

A new support program for the most promising projects
After the ceremony… time for action!
This year, VINCI launched a new support program for the most promising projects: Scale Up!
The aim of the program is to provide personalized support for the 19 most promising projects in this year’s competition.
Leonard is proud to contribute to this innovative program, designed to help these projects reach their full potential. Scale Up! will offer project leaders mentoring opportunities, collaborative workshops, and resources to accelerate the deployment of their solutions.
They have already gathered at Leonard’s on December 11 and 12 to discover the program, meet their mentors and begin the first stages of their adventure.
