Seventh AI cohort: Leonard and VINCI commit to putting AI at the core of their business

Throughout 2025, a clear trend has emerged: artificial intelligence is establishing itself as a strategic lever in key sectors such as construction, transport, real estate, and energy. To support this transformation, Leonard offers VINCI companies a dedicated program designed to address major challenges such as resource management, operational efficiency, sustainability, and safety.

A new edition to boost AI projets

From November 5 to 7, Leonard kicked off the 2025–2026 cohort of the AI program. Thirteen internal projects have joined this initiative with a clear goal: leveraging artificial intelligence to serve the Group’s businesses, anticipate changes, and create value.

Since its launch in 2019, the program has already supported more than 80 AI projects that have delivered concrete solutions across diverse areas: system optimization, improved mobility infrastructure, enhanced site safety, productivity gains, and innovative tools for the industry.

Diverse projects to tackle operational challenges

This new cohort illustrates the wide range of possible applications.

Among them:

  • Optimization of soil reinforcement and foundations
  • Improving energy efficiency in complex buildings
  • Assisting in layout and system design
  • Optimizing construction schedules

These initiatives aim to address strategic challenges such as energy performance, sustainable resource management, infrastructure optimization, and on-site productivity.

Some solutions rely on optimization approaches to configure large-scale installations or schedules. Others leverage large language models (LLMs) to analyze multilingual tenders or extract key information.

Finally, certain projects use computer vision to identify elements in digitized documents and ensure continuity in industrial maintenance.

A structured support to maximize impact

The 2026 AI program continues its decentralized approach with personalized guidance. Leonard provides teams with technical and methodological support, expert advice, strategic assistance, and opportunities to collaborate with research organizations. Comprehensive data science training further strengthens team capabilities.

The program unfolds in three stages:

  • Exploration (November–December 2025)
  • Acceleration (January–May 2026)
  • Industrialization (from June 2026)

This structure ensures a lasting and measurable impact for the Group.

An ongoing innovation dynamic

With this seventh cohort, VINCI reaffirms its commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation. By integrating advanced technologies and developing team expertise, the Group is preparing to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

Leonard congratulates the new cohort and wishes them a year full of success!
