VINCI’s intrapreneur program has already identified growth drivers for the Group. It will fully play its role to support the recovery that will follow the global health crisis and its economic consequences.
Like the rest of VINCI, the Intrapreneurs program is aiming for all-round performance – meaning technical, economic and financial performance as much as social and environmental performance. For the second year, the Selection Committee jury that Leonard brought together decided to focus especially on the impact of the projects they reviewed – starting with their impact on the environment but also the health and safety of employees.
Energy efficiency, decarbonation, digitalization of the construction supply chain, health, protection of natural environments. All these subjects are promising!
The steps in the Intrapreneurs program
VINCI’s Intrapreneurs program includes tailored coaching and training. It connects intrapreneurs with a network of experts and mentors, and gives them an opportunity to build their idea into business. It encompasses two separate stages:
First, part-time support to turn the idea into a project
During the first four months, we work with intrapreneurs to test their idea’s viability, assess competition and meet the first customers. Intrapreneurs spend 20% of their work time on their project (the equivalent of one day a week).
Second, full-time hands-on support to turn the project into business
If the project meets certain criteria (as regards customers, the market and opportunities), the intrapreneur moves on to the next four-month stage, to work full-time on his or her project with closer support, developing and testing the product.
